Song Thrush

(Turdus erecetorum erecetorum)

The Song Thrush is a resident 23cm long. Diet is mainly Worms, slugs, grubs, snails and insects also berries. The bird smashes the snail-shells on a stone. The hen lays 4 or 5 bright turquoise-blue eggs, spotted with black, February to July. The nest is of twigs,grass and moss, lined with mud in bush, hedge, creeper or tree.
