Grey Wagtail

(Motacilla cinerea cinerea)

The Grey Wagtail is a resident 18cm long. Diet is mainly Insects and flies. The hen lays 4 - 6 whitish, covered with grey speckles, sometimes tinted brown eggs, between April - June. The nest is of grass, hair and rootlets, in a hole in a wall, rock or in a river-bank.
