Chaffinch

(Fringilla coelebs gengleri)

The Chaffinch is a resident 15cm long. Diet is Insects, weed-seed and beech-mast. The hen lays 4 to 6 grey, tinged with pink, and with brown blotches, April, May. The nest is of Moss, lichens, wool, feathers and hair, in a bush or in the fork of a tree.
