Notes

January - 4 January 2002. The Common Gull was over north west Rotherlands
February - 13 February 2002. The Jackdaws were over north Rotherlands. The Lesser Redpoll is the common British race, smaller than the Mealy Redpoll which is a winter visitor from Europe in varying numbers.
March - 8 March 2002.
April - 3 April 2003. The Pheasants were calling from nearby fields. The Feral Pigeons were over south Rotherlands, probably racing pigeons. The Jackdaws were over Rotherlands.
May - 3 May 2003. The Jackdaw was over Rotherlands. The Starlings and House Sparrows were on the playing field at the edge of the reserve.
June - 11 June 2002.
July - 11 July 2002. 4 Green Woodpeckers were juveniles.The jackdaw was seen over Rotherlands.
August - 6 August 2002. Also during a moth trapping evening on 3 August a Tawny Owl was seen.
September - 5 September 2002. Also on 16 September 500+ House Martins seen over Rotherlands and the playing fields betweeen 7.45 am and 9.15 am.
October - 2 October 2002. The Pied Wagtail was over south Rotherlands. The Jackdaws were over west Rotherlands.
November - 4 November 2002. The Lapwings were over south-west Rotherlands (Heath Farm birds). The Skylark was over south-west Rotherlands. The Jackdaws and Rooks were over north Rotherlands.
December - 6 December 2002. The Black-headed Gull and the Jackdaws were over Rotherlands.
